Building on the success of our inaugural event, Ready, Set, Read! is returning to Common Space for our second annual Stories on Tap on Saturday, May 31st! Celebrate the joy of early learning with a great lineup of family-friendly activities including author-led storytimes, musical singalongs, arts & crafts. We look forward to spreading the word about Ready, Set, Read!’s impact on our local communities while having a great time raising the funds needed to sustain our growth over the year ahead. Join us!
Ready, Set, Read! promotes early childhood learning and literacy by providing an abundance of high-quality, diverse books for children and offering support for parents and educators.
Tickets: $5 (kid) or $10 (adult) All proceeds support Ready, Set, Read!’s early literacy programming, focused on the joy and benefits of books, and families reading aloud together.

10:00am Musical Story Time with Miss Harriet, early childhood educator and children’s musician
10:30am Story Time with author, Chelsea Lin Wallace, reading Dare to be Daring followed by daring portraits crafting session
11:00am Story Time with author Mirelle Ortega, reading River of Mariposas followed by butterfly crafting session
12:30pm Story Time with Swearingen, reads Brown Skin, Curly Girl Becomes a Marine Biologist followed by underwater sea animal crafting session
1:00pm Mini Concert (Bilingual) with Isa Brazon of Baila Baila
1:30pm Musical Story Time with Chudney Ross of Books & Cookies
