The Brewery

Common Space Brewery is a production brewery and taproom in Hawthorne, CA. 

At Common Space our mission is to create an incredible brewery experience that is inclusive and welcoming to all.

We produce a variety of year round and one-off beers, selling the majority through retail partners in the greater Los Angeles area. Our small, tight-knit Distro Team works together to deliver beer, service lines, and maintain relationships with our over 1,000 retail partners, delivering hundreds of cases and kegs to our retailers every week.

Position Summary

Our Distro Team works with Distro Manager Gabriel Lozada to deliver beer to accounts, maintain draft lines, and works directly with the Sales Team to provide a great experience for our retailers. Key responsibilities include:

  • Pulling orders

  • Loading and unloading vehicles

  • Delivery to various types of accounts

  • Safe driving

  • Cleaning and repairing draft lines

  • Inventorying products at accounts

  • Merchandising at chain accounts

  • Forklift operation

The Distro Team spends a lot of time driving, punctuated by short deliveries where it is imperative to deliver excellent customer service. Loading, unloading and record keeping must be done with a strong eye for detail, and an ability to find errors to avoid issues on the road. We want to move quickly, but more importantly we strive to be efficient and operate with minimal mistakes. We are a young company, and we want team members to speak up, and help us develop better procedures, and be an active part of improving and growing the company.

Members of our Distro Team have moved into Sales, Production and Taproom positions. As Common Space grows there will also be opportunities in Warehouse management.

Our Ideal candidate would have the following experience:

  • Understanding of basic beer terminology

  • Delivery driving experience

  • Forklift, and pallet jack operation

  • Sales or merchandising experience

Requirements

  • At least 3 years driving experience

  • Clean driving record

  • At least 21 years of age

  • Able to lift and move kegs (up to 165 lbs) safely out of vehicles

  • Able to work safely with chemicals, pressure, varying temperatures and loud noises

Compensation

The hourly pay for this position starts at $19.00 per hour.
