Common Space Brewery is a craft brewery and community taproom located in Hawthorne, California. We brew fresh, approachable beer and host public events, private parties, and community gatherings in a welcoming, inclusive space.

Yes. Common Space Brewery is a family-friendly taproom during regular business hours. We welcome guests of all ages and frequently host community and family-oriented events.

Beer brewed with barley cannot be labeled gluten-free, but some of our beers are gluten-reduced.

Sonrisa, Fresh Pils, and Good Signs have been tested and contain less than 20 parts per million (ppm) of gluten, which is below the FDA threshold used for gluten-free foods (though this designation does not officially apply to beer).

How is this possible?

We ferment these beers using an enzyme called Clarex, which breaks down gluten proteins during fermentation. Clarex is commonly used to reduce haze and improve clarity, with gluten reduction as an added effect.

When did this start?

We’ve used Clarex in these beers since day one. We only recently tested them and were pleasantly surprised to learn they are unintentionally gluten-reduced.

Please note: These beers are not gluten-free and may not be suitable for those with celiac disease. Consult your doctor if you have dietary concerns.

We also offer seltzer, non-alcoholic beer, and soft drinks.

We do not have a kitchen but we have rotating food trucks every day. You can see the food truck schedule on our website homepage or on our Instagram highlights.

Sure! All we ask is that you clean up after yourselves when you’re finished.

To make a reservation for groups larger than 10 please make your reservation here. Tablecloths or decorations are not allowed in our public space. Tables are for guests only. Please do not use tables for food or gifts.

Yes. Common Space Brewery offers multiple private and semi-private event spaces that can accommodate small groups, large parties, and corporate events. Our event venue include options for seated events, standing receptions, and flexible layouts. Please visit our Private Events page for more information and to submit a private event request.

We do not! We are able to offer wine for private events only. There is no hard alcohol allowed on the premises.
